The state visit of French President Emmanuel Macron to Morocco this Monday, October 28, 2024 marks a decisive turning point in Franco-Moroccan relations. This meeting, which was held at the invitation of King Mohammed VI, resulted in the signing of 22 major bilateral agreements.
A historic moment took place at the Royal Cabinet in Rabatwhere King Mohammed VI, accompanied by Crown Prince Moulay El Hassan and Prince Moulay Rachid, signed with the French President the Declaration relating to the “Reinforced Exceptional Partnership” between the two nations.

- Civil protection
- Industrial, agricultural, forestry and cultural fields
“This partnership, anchored in traditional and historical foundations, is based on reciprocal respect which strengthens bilateral ties”explains Abbas El Ouardi, professor of public law at the FSJES in Rabat and general director of the African Journal of Political Sciences.
The expert also underlines the crucial importance of this visit regarding the Sahara issue. “This declaration has profound significance and is part of a desire to consolidate the international and regional positions of the two countries”he specifies.
