The Tangier-Tétouan-Al Hoceima region confirms its economic dynamism with the creation of 7,822 new businesses over the first seven months of 2024according to official data from the Moroccan Office of Industrial and Commercial Property (OMPIC).
The geographical distribution reveals a strong concentration in the city of Tangierwhich dominates the ranking with 5,594 new companies. The rest is distributed as follows:
- Tetouan: 1,107 companies
- Larache: 284 companies
- Ksar El Kébir: 272 companies
- Al Hoceima: 266 companies
- Chefchaouen: 119 companies
- Ouezzane: 71 companies
- Assilah: 71 companies
- Targuist: 38 companies
Sectoral analysis shows a predominance of tradewhich represents 41.72% of creations. The other sectors are distributed as follows:
- Miscellaneous services: 17.87%
- Construction and real estate activities: 14.49%
- Transport: 8.84%
- Industries: 7.33%
- Hotels and restaurants: 5.48%
- Information technology (ICT): 2.01%
- Financial activities: 1.69%
- Agriculture and fishing: 0.58%
In terms of legal formsthe SARL with a single shareholder (SARL-AU) remains the preferred choice of entrepreneurs, representing 62.6% of creations. The other legal forms are divided between:
- Classic SARL: 36.9%
- Limited companies (SA): 0.2%
- Other forms: 0.1%
These figures demonstrate a strong entrepreneurial dynamic in the region, with a distribution between legal entities (4,616) and individuals (3,206).
